WHO ARE THE PROFESSIONALS WE SEND TO YOUR HOME?
- Registered Nurses (RNs) provide individual care and case management for medically prescribed treatment.
- Licensed Vocational Nurses (LVNs), working under physicians’ orders and RN supervision, administer medication and treatment and assist the patient with returning to independent activities of daily living.
- Certified Home Health Aides provide personal care and aid in the overall improvement of the patient’s quality of life.
SOCIAL WORKERS, PHYSICAL, OCCUPATIONAL, and SPEECH THERAPY
One of our goals is to assist the patient in improving their ability to perform their daily activities. Our specialist and social workers provide occupational therapy services, physical therapy services, and speech-language therapy services for every hospice patient that would benefit from such a therapy. At Gibraltar Hospice, we care about improving the quality of life and providing the appropriate comfort care and therapy to all those who need it. Our specialists also help family members to properly care for the patient by listing and directing them to available community resources.
